A background investigation is a thorough review of a candidate that goes beyond basic employment checks (aka. background check). This includes an investigator reviewing a person's social media history, interviewing past neighbors, and current friends, etc. It’s a deep review of a candidate's life and background to vet whether or not they have any past history or red flags that would disqualify them from public safety employment (e.g. previous gang affiliations, prior drug use, psychological issues, etc.).

No, Vetted helps you manage your existing processes. This alleviates the cumbersome paper driven process that many agencies are still using to track and manage applicant background investigations.

If you currently use Insight as your applicant tracking system, you will be able to complete your initial screening and then send the applicant’s information from Insight into Vetted with a few clicks. Your public safety background investigation team would then invite the candidate to complete their personal history statement through Vetted. Information from the applicant’s application automatically populates into the personal history statement that background investigators review so that applicants only need to provide answers to questions that they have not already answered, simplifying the process and creating a better experience for applicants.

Only Vetted users will have access to the details of the background investigation. Access to the confidential personal background information of candidates is limited to the Vetted users investigating a candidate or approving them for hire.

This is a separate product from Insight. It can be purchased standalone or integrated with Insight.

Yes, Vetted integrates with First Choice Background Solution. First Choice provides discounted pricing to Vetted customers.  With the integration, basic candidate information is shared with First Choice who then initiates  the social media and credit check process for candidates and provides access to the results within Vetted.  You would contract directly with them for any social media or consumer credit reports that you wish to purchase.

Yes. It is SOC2 compliant as well.

Any data in Vetted is owned by the agency.
